PRE- PRIMARY

The NEMS schools provides a holistic, integrated, enjoyable, and engaging curriculum, building on play, discovery, and activity-based interactive classroom learning. The curriculum caters to the Cognitive, Socio-Emotional, Sensorial, Physical, Creative, and Aesthetic development of the child, reading and writing readiness, numerical ability, through a wide range of individual and group experiences. Learning is interconnected, linking learning experiences across developmental domains in a meaningful context, reflecting the real-life context to the children. The curriculum provides opportunities for exploration and experiential learning in a happy, safe and secure environment.
Integrated themes and projects form the core content of the curriculum. These themes enable the children to make meaningful connections among the different concepts and develop a holistic understanding of the world around them. Puppetry, storytelling, role-play, singing, dancing, etc enhance their learning. Communication is one of the most important skills that children should possess. It is developed through the Phonics program and several other activities. Opportunities are provided to students to become smart and self-confident. Age-appropriate values and social skills are inculcated.

*Eurythmy = Eurythmy is a therapeutic exercise that helps to calm down the emotions of children. Its purpose is to awaken and strengthen the expressive capacities of children through movement and stimulate the child’s imagination

*Circle Time = Circle time is a well-planned time in which children can develop a wide range of skills and attitudes such as confidence, self-esteem, talking, and listening. The circle encourages unity, respect, taking turns, and working together towards a shared vision. It helps children enjoy learning and strengthens the relationship between the teacher and the student.

*Talent show = It is a platform to showcase the talents of children and help to enhance their communication skills and boost their confidence. It helps them overcome their inhibitions

*Colour of the Month = Colour of the Month Activity is conducted once a month where students talk about things that are related to a particular colour. It serves as a platform to develop communication skills and build confidence.

*Parents Engagement Program = Parents Engagement Program is conducted once a year. Students and their parents pair up and create objects that are displayed in the class. Parents also get to experience the activity along with the child. It creates a bonding between the parent and child and serves a better understanding for the parent on the purpose of the activity.

*Festival celebration = The school celebrates all the festivals to sensitize students to diverse traditions and cultures and to bring in a secular environment. Children celebrate every festival through colorful displays, dramas, art & craft, dance & music.

*Art & Craft = Art & craft gives children a wide range of opportunities to develop & strengthen fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination. It boosts their self-esteem, promotes innovation and creativity. It provides a platform to foster imagination and express their thoughts without inhibitions. Engaging in artistic activities helps to develop thinking skills.

*Free Play = Free play is a time provided to children, which encourages them to develop their imagination. It enhances their creativity, innovative skills, fine motor skills, and social skills through various activities.

*Sports Day = Working as a team helps children to develop their physical & social skills. Sports also help kids to develop a bond with their teammates and give a sense of joy and happiness. Students display their skills on this day.

*Graduation Day = Graduation is a time to celebrate new beginnings. It is an exciting milestone for the pre-primary children who graduate to primary, as it is their first step towards a future full of hope and possibilities.

A student who graduates from kindergarten is equipped with the necessary skills, values, and attitude required for Primary, wherein, there will be a kaleidoscope of activities, academic & non-academic, which will lead to horizontal exposure and vertical expertise.
